I am super excited now. I have plans for a two night stay at the Grand Hotel in August. Everything is booked and I have made our Island itinerary. Maybe I will finally get to try out the famous Grand pool that Esther Williams swam in! LOL….I can’t wait and I can barely keep my mouth shut about it but I have to because I am taking my nephews and I don’t want them to be excited too early… and they will be too because I have been talking up Mackinac.
It is a mini-vacation. We are going up north for 5 days, I hope. I plan on spending a couple of days at my Mom’s new lake house and going with her to our family reunion and then on to Mackinac, taking a scenic route through Traverse City and partly along the coast of Lake Michigan, past Charlevoix and Petosky and on to Mackinaw City. I can’t wait, I so need to get away.
