Bull Shit

Bull shit, bull shit bull shit…

That is what is going through my mind lately. It’s not very pretty or a nice topic to write about – I don’t even have much to say about it except  I don’t know how some people get away with their bull shit. Oh I know we all bull shit at times, it is part of being human and part of our culture. I am thinking of people that make bull shit their way of life. How can they do that? It would drive me crazy to live so dishonestly. Isn’t it easier to do the right thing most of the time and live a straightforward life?

Trash

I hate littering!! People who intentionally litter are trash in my eyes.

I was working the drive-thru today – I work in fast food. While I was taking this guys money, out of the corner of my eye I saw him throw a small bag of trash out of his vehicle. I was like, ‘Uh uh, I know he just didn’t …’ I give the ass his change and look down and sure enough there was a bag of trash. What an asshole!!

What the fu** is wrong with some people. This jerk had at least 3 other options than littering: he could have thrown it in the trash receptacle that sits at the end of the drive-thru; he could have waited and thrown it away at home,  at his destination, or at a gas station; or he could have asked me to throw it away. While I hate it when people ask me to throw away their trash but I would have done it. I mean really do you really have to clean your car out right then, and how lazy are you that you can’t walk your own trash to a trash can? UGH! Some people…

Other than that is was a good day at work – a short day, LOL.

The Armchair Barker

Today I was about to get started on some homework and I hear Ryder barking in the living room. I go out to the living room to see why and the silly dog is still in the armchair – he couldn’t even get out of the chair to bark at the neighbors, LOL.

Today’s Drama

AW, is somebody having a bad day today?

I probably shouldn’t write about this because that is probably what the person causing all the drama wants – to get a reaction, but I try never to disappoint. LOL

Let me do it this way…tell you a little story, a snapshot of a day in the life of a stepfamily.

Cast of Characters

Eve = step-mom

Dave = the dad

Sam = the son/step-son

Mae = the mom, the ex-wife

**

Eve picked up her stepson Sam around 2pm on a Thursday, the day after the big snowstorm. Lately she has been picking him up on a Wednesday because of her school schedule but because of the snow both her and her stepson had a snow day. Sam had called earlier that morning asking when he was to be picked up. Eve let him pick the time because she wasn’t sure when the boy’s mom would let him come over. He said to pick him up around noon, one o’clock. Eve actually picked him up a little (closer to two) later because she had a suspicion that he might be watching his sister, although she also suspected that Sam’s mom, Mae, left her daughter home alone, much like she had left Sam home alone since he was ten.

Sam was picked up and he and Eve were chillin’ out at the house. The phone rings – it’s Dave, Eve’s husband and Sam’s father. “Let me speak to Sam” he says to Eve tightly. Right away Eve can tell something is wrong so she asks, “What’s the matter?”

“Mae called me mad because Sam left his sister home alone.”

“Well what’s that got to do with you?” was Eve’s first reaction so she blurted it out, then, “I even picked Sam up later.”

“Yeah, I know but she claims she didn’t know we were picking Sam up today.”

Eve had Sam get on the phone with his Dad while she puzzled over the situation. “WTF?”, she thought to herself. She seemed to remember Dave and Sam talking on the phone two days this week, arranging when Sam would be coming out. She thought Mae was somewhere in on the whole thing.

She heard Sam on the phone with his father, “What!? She leaves my sister home alone all the time. She knew I was coming over here today – she is the one that said if you guys couldn’t pick me up on Wednesday then maybe Thursday.”

“Oh geez” thought Eve, “Then what is all the drama about? Somebody must be having a bad day.” Eve thought about all the times Mae has called to bitch at Dave, much of it over nothing. Eve was starting to get a little perturbed.

Sam was about to to hang up with his Dad but Eve stopped him wanting to talk with her husband again. She took the phone and said to Dave, “So what the heck does she want you to do?”

counter for wordpress“She wants Sam to call her, I guess to bitch him out.”

“Was she snotty to you?”

“Kind of – I could tell she was trying to hold back. She was just bitchin’ about how Sam left sis home alone and he didn’t tell her he was coming over today. So I asked her how is this different than when she used to leave Sam home alone when he was 10?”

“Ha! You did? What did she say?”

“She said ‘I see your point but I always had the neighbors looking out for him.’ She also denied that Sams was 10 at the time, she said he was 11 but still how is that different?” Dave explained. “Then before I hung up she said ‘You need to let me know if you are going to change the date’… She knew we were changing the date, I heard in the background talking to Sam when I was on the phone with him and we were all talking about the impending snow storm and about when we would be picking him up.”

“What a dumb bitch….Yeah, I know, plus she left him all day alone cooped up in the house in the summer when he could have been with us! Phhhew, neighbors! Yeah right!” Eve scoffed, “You can’t count on your neighbors to keep an eye on your kid. And I knew she was leaving her daughter home alone before this anyway. Sam even admitted as much. UGH! I should have called CPS on her a long time ago.”

“Well I better get off the phone here so Sam can call his mom. Oh my God, she must be having a bad day. Geez, Dave, plus whatever happened to letting Sam pick the day? Remember when we first starting getting him the extra day she was all about letting Sam pick the day. I guess that is if it convenient for her…it’s all about control with her.”

“Yeah, I know… well I’m about to leave here so I’ll see you soon.”

“Ok bye Dave.”

Thundersnow

Reporter Reacts to Thunder Snow

I saw some lightning during the blizzard. I love thunder snow but I don’t love neighbors who get their driveway plowed out at 2:30 in the morning. That’s right 2:30am!

I went to bed late last night – pretty much passed out before I could watch my favorite, funny ole reruns but even then I was still up until around 1am… until I fell into a blissful sleep only to be awakened by the sound metal scraping cement. The stupid neighbors next-door were having their driveway plowed out in the middle of the night. Real nice. I couldn’t go back to sleep until the plow was done banging and scraping (and our dog quit barking – he has a loud, deep bark) which was about 20 minutes later. Who has their driveway plowed at 2:30am? Plus the damn blizzard had been over for at least 10 hours by that time. Stupid, inconsiderate jerky neighbors.

Another Snow Day

Yay! Another snow day, no school tomorrow. I can get done tomorrow that I didn’t do today, haha. I napped quite a bit today and it felt good.

I am suprised that we have another snow day because the winter storm wasn’t as bad as anticipated but a lot of places are closed and some roads are still bad. It is nice to relax at home and not have to worry about going out but as far as school goes it means we will just have to crunch in the work some other time, blah!

Our driveway all cleared thanks to my husband.
