Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

– Mary Frye

I love this poem. It is so comforting. I have had some friends/family lose loved ones recently so this has me thinking about death.

Interesting Articles

Here are some links to some interesting articles I have read today. I kind of feel like writing today but I am so scatterbrained I can’t seem to get it together.  Plus the space key on my computer is sticking and it is really getting on my nerves!

Cute article about a lost parrot who helped his rescuers find his home…

See parents, you really aren’t done raising your kids when they hit 18; or kids don’t always leave ‘the nest’ at 18….

Finally, an article about joint custody, and a movement in Michigan to make joint custody de riguer, so to speak, in Michigan family courts. This article really interests me. I will be write my opinion of this article and about issues regarding divorce/custody/CS/Father’s Rights in subsequent blogs since it is an issue close to my heart. I have been wanting to write about these issues (and have a little) for a while now but I have not had the time to devote to it.

I was referred to this article from Atty.Terry Bankert’s blog….
